I was wondering if you have one of these lens as a must have for a wedding. All I have is a 28-135mm and i was told that is not a wide enough angle. I am in the begging of photography and have not yet made enough money to cover for all of these. What would you suggest? thank you so much for your time.

Vijay,

I’ve read your posts from 2009 to 11/2011 and looked at your site. Beautiful pictures, all of the wedding, family everything. Recently I got the Canon 7D, it was bundled with a lense pkg of two lenses. I’ve been told by local camera stores they aren’t the greatest. I’ve researched sites including yours and most all agree with what lenses work best for portrait and weddings. I’ve photographed weddings and done family/kids portraits off and on for 4 to 6 years and never charged. I work full time but think I am going to do it part time now. I am going to invest in a couple of the lenses recommended and buy some studio equipment. I also started to work on a website. I have never had formal training, I’ve always owned different cameras for years. I’m going to spend time looking into the sites you recommended for learning basics on the internet. I’ve taught myself most of this, I still have the Pentax SLR I bought in 1991 (real film camera) I’m deathly afraid of it as I am afraid of messing up a picture without seeing it. It has a couple lenses too, I also have an Olympus E-500 which I’ve used for 4 yrs, it’s been a terrific camera.

What a beautiful series of photos! They exceeded our expectations, and take us back to the happy atmosphere that pervaded that day just a couple weeks ago. Looking forward to seeing the rest of them, including us, Grandma and Grandpa, on the dance floor. (dancing?)
