I am catching up with some blogging and thought I would share this adorable engagement session I had with Esmeralda and Tom at Clos LaChance winery in Morgan Hill, CA. Esmeralda originally wanted to have the wedding there but having an engagement shoot there was a great idea too! We actually got to spend more time taking photos on the grounds doing the engagement shoot than we would at the wedding since weddings are pretty fast paced and sometimes you don’t get more than 20 minutes with the couple alone.
We used a bunch of props to make their engagement shoot more unique and fun. I always recommend props as they can add a personal touch to the images and get your mind of posing and smiling for the camera. When you think of props you can bring to your engagement shoot, consider bringing things that can play off the story of how you met or an activity you like to do together. We had bikes, vintage luggage, flowers and wine in a picnic basket, a string of words saying “i do, me too”. It was adorable and really makes these engagement photos amazing!
It is hard to believe these were photographed in the South Bay Area because it looks a lot like Napa to me! I loved the backlight we had in the vineyards and all the different textures of ivy, stone, and the trees! We hope we come back here to photograph a wedding soon because Clos LaChance rocks for a wedding venue.
We hope you enjoy these images and we cannot wait to photograph Esmeralda and Tom’s big day in June!
