Veena + Eric | Fusion Catholic/Hindu Wedding Highlights

One of our last weddings of 2012, Veena and Eric had a beautiful celebration. Their wedding was designed and coordinated by the amazing Amrit from Anais Events. We had the pleasure of photographing and filming all their events, and doing a same day edit during the reception. After the wedding, we took more footage from the reception and worked it into this wedding highlights you see below. It is nice to have more time to work on the edit so we can make everything perfect.

The wedding took place at my favorite venue in the Bay Area, Casa Real. I love this venue because of the nice parking lot for baraats, the impeccable service and quality employees Casa Real has, and the beautiful vineyards and architecture of the building. Sit back, relax and check out this spectacular cinematic Hindu and Catholic Fusion Wedding Highlights! Music was licensed through The Music Bed.

Simi + Aneil | Hindu Wedding Highlights

To say this wedding was amazing is a total understatement! The entire event was four days long and we provided over 30 hours of coverage over those days. From the beautiful Mehndi at her home, to the Sangeet in Sunol, to the wedding ceremony at the bride’s home in Fremont, then finally to San Francisco Fairmont for the reception, we covered every detail of her gorgeous traditional Hindu wedding.

Simi hired Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema for her Indian wedding well over a year in advance because she really values photography and cinematography. She knew that after this weekend was over, all she would have to remember these special moments was going to be through photographs and her wedding films. It was utmost importance for her to hire photographers like us who are more than just vendors, but become part of the family and can blend in and capture these special moments in a thorough and unobtrusive way. Amrit from Anais events did an impeccable job at coordinating, designing, and bringing Simi’s vision to life. It’s coordinators like these who make our job easier so we can focus on the creative aspects and produce better photos and films.

We wanted to include all the events in this wedding highlights reel so viewers could get a glimpse of the entire week and not just the wedding day. We made an engagement video that was a surprise presentation before the bride and groom’s entrance, as well as, provided a live feed so everyone in the large ballroom could see the screens rather than strain to see what was happening during speeches and dances.

We think this is one of our best Indian wedding films that we have filmed in the San Francisco Bay Area and we hope you enjoy and congrats to the lucky couple!

Sonya + Satindar | Hindu Wedding at Palm Event Center Pleasanton

We had an amazing three days working with Sonya and Satindar for their wedding events. The Hindu wedding and reception was the last day of the three. Sonya chose a beautiful pink and silver Lengha for her big day and a gorgeous blue one for her reception. Amrit from Anais Planning & Events did a fabulous job on the decor and flower arrangements, along with a stellar Spring time Mandap. Their Priest, an American Pandit, came all the way up from San Diego to perform the ceremony for this lucky couple.

The day started with both the bride and groom prep, before we headed to the wedding and reception venue, Palm Event Center in Pleasanton, CA. We had the bride and groom do a “first look” and then proceeded to do all the family photos before the ceremony. We do this because that is when the bride’s makeup looks best and before everyone gets sweaty in the heat. Once we had completed the portraits, the wedding ceremony began. The Priest, being able to eloquently explain all the Hindu wedding steps in perfect English was great for everyone in the audience because it was clear, thorough, and very organized. The ceremony was gorgeous, with the vineyards in the background of their Mandap.

Once the ceremony was complete, guests mingled outside for cocktail hour and we shot all the decor inside the event center. The grand entrance was a lot of fun and everyone transitioned into party mode to greet the couple! There were games, toasts, a cake cutting, and then the first dances. Dinner was Greek/Mediterranean food, in the spirit of where the Bride and Groom were to be visiting for their honeymoon right after the wedding.

The party continued until about 11pm when all the guests formed two rows outside and we officially sent off the couple amidst a sea of sparklers! We wish these two the best of luck and hope you have enjoyed their wedding images! Please leave your comments below as we love to hear from our readers!
