This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph an amazing family! Turns out the day of their family session was their five year wedding anniversary, which I also had the privilege of photographing. Something about the five year mark is really quite special. A five year wedding anniversary is a really big deal, and as they say about businesses too, crossing that five year mark is a huge hurdle because most small businesses don’t last more than five years.
For a second I felt like I was getting old, but I also felt extremely blessed to have come this far, spent such an amazing day with the couple, and then five years later are photographing their beautiful family. That is really the meaning of success to me and my business. It does not get much better than that!
What I especially liked was how they incorporated some props to make the photos a little more interesting. Not only is it a fun way to get the kids involved, it makes for a more entertaining, and possibly more true to live portrait! I can’t wait to photograph the Valencia Family again and hope you enjoy some of my favorite images!
