Dipa and Prashant had an amazing three days of wedding events in Santa Cruz! We covered their Mehndi, both Pithi ceremonies, Grah-Shanti and Sataak for Dipa, as well as the wedding and reception!
On the wedding day the main photographer was Natalie Ladd. She really captured this wedding beautifully and shot a lot of photo and cinema at the same time.
Congrats to Dipa and Prashant and may they be blessed with years of happiness!
Priyanka and Tushar are getting married next weekend and one week before their wedding we did this engagement session so we could meet them in person and have some fun doing a few shots. Just the night before, this lucky couple had their engagement party at their home with their family and friends. They were very easy to photograph and looked extremely natural on camera. They are very much in love and we cannot wait to photograph and film their wedding this coming weekend in Carmel and Monterey! Thank God the rain is gone because I have a feeling it is going to be a spectacular wedding!
We have been photographing weddings more and more in the Monterey and Carmel area. What an extraordinary year for us! We had a ton of weddings, most of them three day Indian weddings. We are so blessed to have the support of such great couples and their families. The most rewarding part was seeing all of our past clients at these events. We are pleased to share with you our last wedding of 2011 on our blog!
Vanisha and Bhavik had three days of events during the Thanksgiving weekend. Most of the events were held in Marina, right outside of Monterey, and Bhavik’s Grah Shanti was all the way up in Novato. The wedding and reception took place at the Monterey Marriott, which was a beautiful venue and perfect for their Gujarati wedding.
We are excited for 2012 and hope to see you at an event soon!
I was quite thrilled to head over to Santa Cruz last week to do an engagement photo shoot session with Maryam and Kamyar because it finally looks like summer has arrived! I feel like this summer was not that hot overall and every time I did go to the coastal areas there was a ton of fog. Now that all the tourists have left back to their cities and the kids are in school, summer has finally arrived in Santa Cruz, blessing us with beautiful weather and gorgeous sunsets!
We started our shoot at one of my favorite beaches, Natural Bridges. This beach has an awesome rock in the ocean making it the perfect focal point as a background element in portraits. Also, because of the way the beach is sort of the corner, the direction of the light is more frontal than from the side, if that makes sense to you non photo people out there.
We had a ton of fun shooting with them because Maryam and Kamyar literally needed no posing! They are so playful with one another that it was quite simple to get natural, beautiful looking portraits without a lot of “posing”.
After we had our shots down in the sand on the beach we headed down West Cliff Ave to visit one of my other favorite spots where we could capture a few sunset shots overlooking the ocean on the cliff. I really like how unique all the images turned out and I cannot wait to shoot their Persian wedding in just a few weeks!
