Hotel Sofitel is a great venue for Indian weddings in the Bay Area! They are close to SF but have lots of natural beauty, as you can see by the lake shot below. They also have very modern decor in the hotel which makes it perfect for photo shoots, both in the guest rooms and in the lobby. I especially loved all the natural light pouring in through the windows while the bride and groom got ready, as well as, all the natural light in the hallways.
Neelam and Bhavesh are one of those couples that are truly in love. You can see it in their eyes and their joy is contagious. The moment Bhavesh sees Neelam for the first time dressed as a bride is truly magical. They embraced each other and it was so amazing to capture that perfect moment. They live and love San Francisco so it was important to have the wedding around the city that they love.
We used the backdrop of the hotel for all the family and bridal party portraits before the Baraat, which included the groom coming in on a SF trolley car. It was totally awesome and something very unique. Once the party out front was over we headed inside for their wedding under the Mandap that Satvir from SB Arts so beautifully decorated.
After the ceremony the couple did their Vidai ceremony where they left on the trolley car and then everyone got ready for the reception. Milan provided the food for the event and it was absolutely amazing and Purvi from from Avant Planners did all the coordination. We had an “A Team” working on this event that really made it magical.
After speeches and toasts, the couple enjoyed their first dance before opening up the dance floor and then it was party time!
