Jeraline + Tony | Indian Wedding in Santa Cruz, CA

In October we had the pleasure of working with Jeraline and Tony for their Indian Fusion Wedding that took place at a beautiful Ranch in the Santa Cruz Mountains called Rancho Don Bosco. Everything was coordinated by the fabulous Coastside Couture team and we had a blast working with them! Heidi made sure everything was perfect and kept us on schedule which is always important at an Indian wedding.

The nice and sunny day started with both the bride and groom getting ready at the venue. The groom’s side walked back down the long driveway and came in a procession for the Baraat. Tony did the Ganesh Pooja with the Priest and then was led to the Mandap for the start of the ceremony.

This was a perfect location for their Hindu wedding. It had a beautiful lush garden and was really nice for photography. Since everything was self contained we had no problem getting shots of everything and everyone very quickly. These are definitely our favorite types of venues because throughout parts of the day as the sun moves, different parts will be better for photos and after the whole day, we would have shot everywhere.

I absolutely love the rustic feel with the wood textures, old tools, antique sculptures and tons more. This is what made the place for me and really adds a unique look to their images.

After the ceremony we did some family shots and portraits of the couple and then they had to go prepare for their reception. All their guests enjoyed cocktails outside and walked around the property. Chef Ranjan Dey from New Delhi Restaurant prepared delicious appetizers and a wonderful meal.

Jeraline is actually an Armed Forces veteran so the start of the reception began with the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag. It was touching because she loves America and really feels strongly about our country and our spirit as Americans. Many other vets were attendance as well. We applaud their dedication and service to our country.

Festivities for the evening included classical Indian dance performances, speeches by friends and family, lots of mingling, drinking, and a very nice cake cutting on the stairs.

We wish them a life full of joy and happiness and we are so blessed they chose Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema to capture their special day!
