What do you get when you have an amazing couple to photograph at one of the best venues for Indian weddings in the Bay Area? Natasha and Shyam’s wedding!
On this gorgeous weekend we had the pleasure of photographing these two over a few days which led up to their wedding and reception at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose. The getting ready took place in two separate hotel rooms and then we got the couple together for their first look. Once they had a few minutes alone we raced through the family shots and bridal party photos before Shyam headed down to his Baraat. The procession concluded at the entrance of the hotel and then Natasha’s parents escorted Shyam to the Mandap for the start of the ceremony.
Natasha looked stunning as she walked down the aisle and the ceremony included all the traditional Hindu rituals over the course of an hour and a half. After the ceremony we got to have some fun and took some photos on the outside of the hotel. These are some of my favorite moments of the wedding and we had amazing light outside at the time.
During the cocktail hour the bride and groom prepped for the reception and we did a family shoot and a few more shots of the bride and groom in their new outfits. The reception was also a ton of fun with performances, speeches, food, and of course, dancing!
