Sahil’s Pooja

What is so awesome about our job is that we don’t just cover the main wedding day, we usually cover the entire week’s worth of events for our Indian weddings. That means we come to the bride and groom’s respective homes to capture events that precede the wedding ceremony. Events like the Pooja below are a great way for us to get to know the couple, their friends and family, and also learn more about their customs and religion.

Saying you are Hindu, Sikh, etc can mean many different things. Depending on the state your family is from in India, what traditions your family has passed down, and what the families particular beliefs are, will greatly vary from family to family, even if they are of the same religion! For us, it is a great learning experience to understand the “why” behind these customs, as many of them may fade away as future generations start to understand less and less about their significance.

Visit our blog often to see lots of content. We hope it is useful for our visitors to see the wide variety of events we capture.
