2014 is our ten year Anniversary of being in business! We are so excited for this year. We continue to grow and keep getting better and better at our craft. To celebrate and start the year off right we are sharing a recent wedding we had the pleasure of photographing and filming all the way over in New Jersey at The Venetian. This venue is amazing and features stunning staircases, magical chandeliers, beautiful floors, and just a very nice layout for weddings and receptions.
Both the bride and groom got ready on the property and then shared their “first look” where they saw each other dressed up for the first time. It was a magical moment and we did all of the family portraits before the ceremony and took the bride and groom briefly outside for some natural light shots before it got dark. The Groom’s Baraat procession featured a choreographed dance that is right up there with Bollywood. Seriously it blew the Bride’s family away!
The ceremony started with the Ganesh Pooja before the Bride made her entrance. The Priest performed the traditional Hindu ceremony over about an hour and then the bride and groom quickly went to change while guests enjoyed a stunning cocktail hour, with more food than I have ever seen before at a wedding.
Once the bride and groom were ready we had just a few moments alone to do more portraits before they had to make their grand entrance but that is all we needed to get some amazing shots! The Grand Entrance is my all time favorite shot of them in their wedding film that Rob got. Much thanks goes out to Rob Adams and Vanessa Joy who helped shoot this wedding with me!
The evening included a lot of really great speeches, including Josh who is such a great speaker and many others. There was a cake cutting, a really awesome fire display that led guests right into dessert time which again was more dessert than I have ever seen at a wedding. Finally, a ton of dancing was how the party ended and this being my first East Coast wedding, is an experience I don’t think I will ever forget!
