A couple weeks ago when the almond trees were in full bloom, we had the pleasure of photographing Pulvy and Aman for their engagement session! It was so much fun!
We love photographing anything with repeating lines and patterns so shooting photos in an almond farm was an amazing experience for us! We had so many great angles to choose from. Best of all, we photographed this session during the short amount of time while the trees were in full bloom with gorgeous flowers! The ground cover of petals was almost like snow-flake.
Pulvy had a ton of great ideas that she had for shoot, including a string of letters that spelled out their names and wedding date. They also had an “X and an O” also made of flowers which was a great prop for the shoot! We totally recommend bringing anything fun you can think of to the shoot. It adds variety and helps tell the story of your love. Better yet, it makes a great image for “save the date” cards.
After the farm location we headed to Lake Bethany where we captured some colorful images by the water. Although it was very bright and sunny out, we were able to capture some great shots in the shade of the only tree there and use some off-camera flash for some vibrant portraits in full sun.
We love how the colors pop and how we were able to achieve a totally different look than the first location through lighting, lenses, and direction of shooting in relationship to the sun.
