Yesterday we posted day 1 of Monica + Nichlesh’s wedding which was their Mehndi/Sangeet night! The next morning was their wedding which took place at the Aloft Hotel located in Newark, CA. This hotel has a really cool modern feel to it with tons of great natural light so we definitely recommend it as a great hotel to get ready in. All the detail shots of the jewelry, as well as, makeup shots are fantastic! Christal (ArtistrybyChristal.com) did a great job as usual!
The bride and groom did a first look outside by the pool and we spent a few more minutes capturing their portraits before Nichlesh went out to his Baraat. This is a great parking lot for a Baraat because the parking lots wraps around the entire hotel and there is ample space for people to dance. I also really like how there was a field next door and a marsh area. We got some aerial shots of the Baraat on video and can’t wait to include those in their highlights film.
The ceremony took place inside with large windows on one side so there was plenty of nice natural light during the ceremony. The mandap was beautiful and elegant with a crystal chandelier and really nice light colored roses. Once the ceremony was over the bride and groom left on a horse and carriage and then came back for family photos and a buffet style dinner. Although the reception was to be held the next evening at San Francisco City Hall, the couple did decide to do their cake cutting ceremony on their wedding day instead of at the reception so the cake ended the night!
