Sarena and Roshan had a beautiful 5-day Fun and Festive Wedding! Sarena is Sikh Punjabi and Roshan is Hindu Gujrati, so they had both ceremonies, the traditional Sikh Anand Karaj Ceremony at the San Jose Gurudwara and the Hindu Wedding the next day, which will be coming up next on our blog.
It was a cold and foggy morning when we started photographing their getting ready. We split our teams to shoot bride and groom at the same time at their respective residence. We got detail shots while she was almost done with her makeup with last few details remaining, so we moved her by the window light to get the final touch up shots. We used the fog to our advantage to get some bridal robe shots that look enigmatic given the fog, Sarena was a trooper to accommodate our request to head on over to her balcony to get these shots although it was quite cold.
Sarena looked absolutely beautiful with flawless makeup by Elegant looks, we especially loved her hair accessory that looked absolutely perfect for her bridal updo.
We got some of our signature bridal robe shots, followed by bridal lehenga shots and finally the dupatta shots, we were ready to head to the Gurudwara and get the remaining bridal portraits at the beautiful San Jose Gurudwara. We got a mix of flash and natural light shots for all of Sarena’s getting ready!
We got some more bridal portraits at the gurudwara, followed by Milni and then the beautiful Anand Karaj Ceremony. We got a variety of shots at the wedding ceremony, some backlit, some using magmod and some using the studio strobe lights.
After the ceremony, we got romantic couple shots, the sky was beautiful with fluffy clouds and we incorporated the clouds in some of our wide dramatic shots. After some fun bridal party shots, we proceeded to the Bride’s house for the Doli.
We got some great Doli ceremony shots with fun and sentimental bittersweet moments captured!
