Kavita and Gus got married at the gorgeous Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose, CA. We love this venue so much! It is the perfect venue for Bay Area Indian weddings and we know the place inside and out!
Kavita was smart and booked us over a year in advance for her special day! We had met up with them for an engagement session in Santa Clara before the big day and it was great to get to know them at that shoot.
The day of the wedding we shot both of them getting ready before the Baraat started. Gus got on a horse and they had a fun procession coming down the driveway and then they headed to the Mandap where they had their beautiful traditional Hindu wedding. It is always so special to see American grooms take such great care performing the Indian rituals with their parents even if they don’t know all the meanings or mantras. Gus did an amazing job and everyone in Kavita’s family was impressed.
After the wedding, the couple got ready for the reception and we captured all the details of their reception decor and the cocktail hour while they changed. The party was a ton of fun and we captured everything to create both, a full-length film and a cinematic highlight that you see here.
We offer specials for weddings at Hayes Mansion and our studio is very close to this venue, so if you are in the area and would like to set up an in-person consultation, either at our studio or Hayes Mansion, let us know!
