It is always nice being hired by a fellow photographer and that is exactly what happened in this case. Vijey is a commercial/product photographer and he hired us to capture his intimate Hindu wedding at the Shiva-Vishnu Livermore Temple during the time of Covid-19. It was when indoor events were not allowed so the ceremony took place 100% outside.
The Mandap was staged right behind Lakireddy Hall in the courtyard and we started early in the as is usual South Indian weddings. We also live-streamed the event so guests from all over the world could watch since traveling was not possible.
Since we knew the groom was a photographer himself, we challenged ourselves to be as creative as possible in our candid shooting because at the end of the day, that is what it is all about. Capturing those unique and storytelling images and being at the right place at the right time. You do that with a combination of experience, technical know-how, and creativity.
We love photographing weddings at the Livermore Hindu Temple because it is so beautiful in the morning and can be so different lighting-wise depending on the season, etc. They also have great photo spots for portraits and a beautiful entrance where to position the couple for nice portraits. Of course in these images, all the ropes to form lines are in front, again due to covid-19, so you won’t see those anymore.
Scroll through some of our favorites and please note that we are “preferred vendors” at the Livermore Temple and look forward to capturing your event there if you are in need of a photographer!
