Tarandeep | Mehndi at Home in Hayward

Tarandeep got her Mehndi done at her home in Hayward and it was such a beautiful day!

As you can see, we had a really cool backdrop in her living room and amazing lighting through the blinds that we just had to utilize!
Once her palms were done, we took Tarandeep outside for some portraits during golden hour to ensure we got some great shots!

Here are some photography Mehndi tips to ensure you get the best photos on your Mehndi day!

1. Book your Mehndi earlier in the day so that it is finished right before sunset! This way you get the best lighting! Make sure to add a one hour buffer though in case Mehndi takes longer than normal or the artist arrives late!
2. Have a nice backdrop and lots of space around you so that the photo and video team can get lots of different angles. If you are in a corner for example, then there are not that many angles to shoot from and your photos will look repetitive.
3. Get your hair and makeup professionally done! It makes a difference in the photos.
4. Have the guests come at the end of the Mehndi application and not during. It is harder for the artist to work when 10 people are surrounding them while they work and makes it almost impossible to get good photos without people in the shots.
5. Ensure that your family members are also dressed in wedding appropriate attire! It doesn’t help if you look amazing and dad is in his shorts because he has been doing “wedding work” all day around the house or your brother is out running errands of picking up guests from the airport!

Hope these Mehndi tips help you plan your big day and get the most out of it!
