Hannah and Mishal had a fun-filled three day Fusion wedding at Everline Resort and Spa and Palisades Lake Tahoe over Labor Day weekend and we were so thrilled to capture it all!
This was their very first event where they held a small Pooja for friends and family as a way to kick off the wedding events.
When we arrived, we did a walkthrough of all the various rooms where their events would take place. We talked to the decor people, to the venue staff, checked into our rooms, and started shooting decor and details.
When the couple arrived we took them for a brief photo shoot to get some shots before the actual Pooja starts. We do this because we know sometimes later on the couple may be tired, they may run out of time, or the lighting could be not as pleasant, so we take the opportunity to get the shots sooner rather than later.
Once the shoot was over, the official event could start and we capture everything naturally and candid, unless it is a key moment that the families want to pose for, to ensure everyone is looking at the camera, for example.
These short events are a great way to built rapport with the couple and get to know them if we have not done a previous engagement shoot with them beforehand.
The next event will be their Sangeet night that took place in the evening on the same day at the same beautiful venue, and we look forward to sharing that soon! Stay tuned!
