What a beautiful Shaadi event Anam and Mustafa held at Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, a hidden gem venue on the peninsula in Palo Alto.

We kicked off this event with shots of the couple, as they were ready to go and right on time! We got shots around the venue inside and outside, both with natural light and using flash. It was super windy on this day though so I didn’t them to spend too long outside to minimize the wear and tear on Anam’s hair.

We experiment with lots of different techniques to give the couple both classic and modern/trending images. It is also very fun for us to do things outside of cultural norms and sort of put a twist on classic poses and lighting styles. I like using light to create moods and feelings. You don’t have to use light that is available to you. You can create the light you want to create the feeling you want to convey. Lighting is so powerful and is very important to our craft.

A guests arrived we capture candids and casual group shots while we await the grand entrances of the couple and their families. Once the arrivals were done the program started with speeches, performances, and a very nice Pakistani dinner.

The event concluded with open dancing which is always an upbeat way to end the night. We love it when the couples dance with their friends and family.
