Kriti and Amit are such an adorable couple! We are photographing and filming their wedding over Christmas weekend! We were so excited when Kriti liked the idea of doing our engagement session in Carmel instead of somewhere like San Francisco. For us, we go to SF almost once a week for shoots and we are often shooting at the same 5-10 spots there. We absolutely love the beach and nature and Carmel is just one of those spots that offers so much photographically that is is ridiculous to not consider it for engagement shoots!
We met at the entrance to 17 mile drive, undoubtedly one of the most picturesque parts of California. We drove along the beautiful strip and stopped at the best spots to take a wide variety of photos, using both natural light and off camera flash.
One of the greatest parts is that Kriti wore her white wedding gown that she also wore for their civil ceremony. This was perfect because not only was it an engagement session, it was a bridal portrait session. We had so much fun posing her and having her play with her veil! The blue sky was the perfect contrast to her lovely dress and smile.
Kriti had two more outfits that were equally fun to shoot and then finally they wore their Warriors jerseys for the final images. This was fitting as the Warriors won the NBA finals this year.
After having such a good time, we cannot wait to work with Kriti and Amit again for their wedding this winter. We are going to have a blast and cannot wait to share many more amazing shots!
