Stanford University is one of the most beautiful campuses in California. It is also an excellent place for engagement sessions because of its stunning architecture, lush gardens, and the historic feel to it. Raj is a Stanford Alumni so he was able to secure permission for photography at the school for our session!
It was our first time being his fiance, Surabhi. The first I noticed was what a pretty smile she has! We cannot wait to see her dressed up as a bride with that beautiful smile! Both Surabhi and Raj are gentle and warm hearted people. They are so sweet and we know their wedding at Fairmont San Jose in February is going to be a lot of fun!
At Stanford we met in the quad and used the awesome pillars for some shots. These are great because it gave them something to lean on and the leading lines of the pillars looks amazing in the photos. Since we had some bright sun, we played around with hard light directly in the sun, soft light in the shade, as well as, silhouettes, which look amazing against the blue sky.
Throughout our sessions our couples usually get a lot more comfortable with being in front of the camera and this was no exception. Once our couples experience how fun it is to take photos with us, any nervousness melts away and they start getting into it! We keep the energy going so there is never a dull moment and we end up with a ton of shots and lots for the couple to use for their various save the date cards, websites, social media, and for printing.
We look forward to sharing Surabhi and Raj’s wedding in the New Year and hope you enjoy! Happy Holidays!
