Simply fill out our contact form and set up a complimentary consultation via phone or zoom call. We will get all your event details, go over some custom packages with you, and then build an online proposal that you will be able to complete online. To secure your date(s) we require the signed agreement and retainer payment. We accept all forms of payment including ACH, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, cash, or check.
We like to incorporate lots of styles depending on what we are shooting and the "mood" we are going for. As you can see in our portfolio, we like images that tell a great story, so we will use all the tools at our disposal to achieve our vision. We like candid photojournalism, mixed with fun portraiture that is creative yet timeless. Our short films are cinematic, while our long-films are beautifully edited extended versions of your events.
We hand-edit all the images and present them in a password protected online gallery. You are able to share the link with friends and family, as well as, download the entire gallery in one click. All the images are high resolution without watermarks and include unlimited print rights. Most of our cinema collections include an extended Documentary film that varies in length depending on the event and then we create one cinematic short film that includes portions of all the events that we have filmed. Photos and films stay online for 1 year.
Our average turnaround time for images will be 2 weeks for Engagement/Portrait sessions, 2-3 weeks for wedding pre-events or shorter events, and 4-6 weeks for longer wedding events. Films take 2-3 months during the slower off-season months and 3-4 months during peak summer months. We always send estimated delivery dates after the event and also can give updates as we are in the editing process. Everything is done to perfection so it takes time but we also balance it with trying to be as fast as possible.
Wedding Documentary has a team of over 15 photographers and cinematographers so in the extreme case one of us is sick or injured we will have competent backup team members. We also bring backup cameras and equipment in the rare case of any technical difficulties. We carry a $1,000,000 liability policy and can share that with your venue(s) upon request.
If there are "Shelter in place orders" and no gatherings are allowed we will allow you to reschedule your event within 12 months of the original date without any rescheduling fees. For all other reasons, a small rescheduling fee would apply. No refunds of retainers are given for events that are canceled.
Yes we edit all the images and give our couples all the images. We shoot hundreds of images per hour and always striving for the "perfect shot". After the event, we select all the usable images and then we then color correct every image for color, contrast, white balance, and to put our artistic touches on them. We save the photographs at the highest quality and upload them to your gallery and email the link. We don't send images that are out of focus, too repetitive, or have unflattering expressions or angles.
Yes! We understand that some couples may want to have their images and films remain private and off social media and/or our website. We work with each couple individually to create options that meet their privacy needs, while allowing us either some usage or compensation for the inability to use our work for marketing purposes.
Yes! We love to get drone shots for our photography and our films. We will decide when and if it is appropriate and safe to use drones. We cannot guarantee drone usage due to weather, venue, or airspace restrictions. We always abide by the rules to ensure safe flight.
Yes, we love traveling all over the world for events. We are based in San Jose, CA but have traveled all throughout the state, to Mexico, Texas, New Jersey, and even Jaipur India! We create custom collections for destination weddings based on the location, number of days, and scope of the project. Contact us for more info!
