We had a phenomenal time creating this film for Manisha and Sid in Jaipur, India. When it comes to shooting a wedding in India, this was exactly the experience we were going for!
Manisha and Sid planned a three-day bash at the end of December 2018 at Samode Palace, located about an hour away from downtown Jaipur. Samode is the name of the town and the palace that has been converted into a luxury hotel. Closeby is Samode Gardens, which are upscale canvas tents and is where some of their pre-events took place.
Over three days there were 7 events and each event gave us an opportunity to tell their story in a unique way. We loved working with camels, horses, elephants, and several amazing vendors in India for this perfect event. We were blessed to also work with a couple of friends who are Jaipur locals and are amazing photographers and cinematographers that collaborated with us.
We had always dreamt of shooting a wedding at a Palace in India and I am so happy we finally got the opportunity and make that dream happen! Thanks to Manisha who decided to have their wedding in Jaipur. We shot her brother’s wedding a few years earlier in the SF Bay Area and were thrilled to learn they planned to have a wedding in India and take us along to capture their journey!
