Rajul + Samir | Hindu Wedding Highlights at San Jose Fairmont

Now that it is officially Fall we cannot wait to get back into blogging all the amazing weddings we had the honor of capturing this summer.
Today we are excited to share one of our favorites! Rajul and Samir are so cool, so calm, so fun, so chill! They know how to party and have a good time but they are simply just very cool people!
We were so happy to work with them throughout their events including their engagement session, their Garba night, and their wedding and reception which took place at the Fairmont, San Jose. By far, this luxury hotel is the best spot for an Indian wedding in the San Jose area.

The day of the wedding both the bride and groom got ready in separate rooms and then the groom awaited his beautiful bride so they could see each other for their first look. Little did Samir know, the bride would play a little trick on him and when he tried to turn around slowly to see her, she quickly stayed behind him and moved so that he could not see her First Samir went one way, then another, and she was able to dodge him a few times until he finally saw stunning, laughing bride! It was the most perfect moment which reflects them as a couple because we know how cheesy first looks can be, but they are special nonetheless. I am glad they have fun with it their way rather than not doing one at all or doing one that was boring and “not them”.

After a family portrait sessions the groom headed down to start the Baraat and get on the horse. The procession wrapped around the Fairmont and ended in the lobby where Samir was greeted by Rajul’s mom where he was blessed and walked to the Mandap for the start of the Hindu ceremony.

Rajul was carried down the aisle in a Doli, which is very traditional and very cool! Every time I see this film I think about how American brides must think this is the absolute bomb! I mean walking down the aisle is great, but being carried! Well that is straight princess status right there!

Their ceremony was full of beautiful smiles and touching moments. After the ceremony the bride and groom changed and got ready to party while our team covered the cocktail hour, decor shots, and shot bride and groom prep, as well as, another portrait session during sunset.

The party included lots of great speeches, a cake cutting, dancing and food! Rajul and Samir ripped up the dance floor and everyone had a blast!

We wish Rajul and Samir the best and hope you enjoy this very special film we created for them to relive their special day!
