We love capturing fusion weddings because they are always the most unique weddings. Almost every time, the exact combination of religions and cultures will be different, so it will always be a new experience! Also, half the guests and family members are usually experiencing the rituals of the other family for the first time. That is always cool to be there and document that.
For this Hindu/Jewish fusion wedding, we captured two days of events at the Hyatt Regency SFO. This venue has been hosting Indian weddings for several years and some of our very first Indian weddings were held at this venue.
The first night was a Sangeet and that was great because both families did performances, speeches, and songs. The following day was the wedding and reception, which included both Hindu and Jewish rituals. It was nice because it blended with both and not just all Indian or all Jewish.
