Grace and Sukhraj had an amazing Sikh wedding week that took place in multiple cities, including Orinda, Pleasanton, El Sobrante, and Fairfield.
The event started with the bride and groom’s haldi ceremony that took place poolside on a warm day. Everyone was dressed in yellow, and the bride had lovely flower jewelry.
After the haldi, there was a short break, and then people gathered for the mehndi night later that afternoon, where the bride got her henna done along with the close family members.
The next evening was the sangeet night at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton. This venue was recently remodeled and is so nice now. We got amazing shots of this event and loved that the bride was showing off her Punjabi speaking skills. It was so awesome to see.
The very next morning, we started bright and early with the bride and groom prep at the respective locations before heading to El Sobrante Gurdwara for their Anand Karaj ceremony. The groom entered on a horse, and after the ceremony, we went to a beautiful lake to do their portrait shoot before heading back to the groom’s house to officially welcome the bride into the groom’s family.
The final event was the next day at Bally Keal Estate in Fairfield, California. This is one of my new favorite venues for how amazing the grounds are. There are vineyards, there are classic cars, there’s a helicopter, and even a mansion with a grand staircase, all available for portrait and video spots.
The venue is well maintained and stocked with lots of amenities, even including a charger station for guests to charge their electronic devices, which is so clever and much appreciated, I’m sure.
We are really excited to go back there early next year for another amazing event.
