Malerie and Sean had a two-day wedding at Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa and this was their Western wedding and reception day!
For this event, Malerie wore a white wedding dress and Sean a tuxedo. We did their first look out in front of the resort because it was a nice quiet place with great lighting. We proceeded to do their initial portraits there and bridal party photos there as well since the light was so great and we wanted to keep everyone cool during this extremely hot day in summer.
The ceremony was in the wine cave, which is a really cool part of Meritage. Literally as well! It was nice and cool compared to outside where they held their Hindu wedding the day previously. The couple had written their own vows and had one of their friends officiate the ceremony. We then used those vows in their same day edit that created that very same day and showed at night at the reception.
For entertainment that night, Joya Kazzi’s Bollywood dance team from LA performed and we also showed our same-day edit. After dinner, the dancefloor opened and everyone had a great time dancing all night!
We love shooting weddings at Meritage in Napa and highly recommend it for Indian weddings. We do hope that if you are having a fusion Indian/Western wedding that you give Wedding Documentary a call! We are hald Indian and half American after all! Enjoy!
