The ropeway or cable car was introduced in June 2008 at the Machhala Hill and since then has become one of the favorite tourist spots in Udaipur.
The cable car was installed for devotees to visit the Karni Mata Temple that is on top of the hill but another popular reason that people visit this spot is an amazing view of the entire city of Udaipur and the views get even more spectacular during sunset.
People can choose to walk up the hill as well, stairs are quite steep and it moderately difficult climb up the stairs, in any case, the spectacular views make it all worth it.
