Continuing our series of weddings during the Covid-19 2020 wedding season is Anchal and Avik’s wedding which was held in their backyard in San Jose.
This is yet another example of how beautiful at-home weddings can be and this couple is also absolutely gorgeous! Amrit from Anais Events did the planning and design and we loved how the backyard awning was transformed into an open-concept Mandap.
We were fortunate to have a park right behind the house where we could do the first look and all their portraits. Olive trees are some of my favorite trees to shoot with because of how they look with backlighting going through them and how romantic they are!
The couple even trusted us to go into bushes that probably did not seem like a good spot, but with some creativity and a flash, made some magical moments!
Everyone socially distanced and wore a mask during the event and we livestreamed the entire ceremony so guests from all over the world could view the ceremony. After the ceremony, the couple did a zoom call with loved ones so they could talk face to face with them.
There was a nice dinner reception on their patio with grand entrances, cake cutting, first dance, and performances from friends and even some remote performances over Zoom!
Even though it might not have been the wedding the couple dreamed of it became the wedding of their dreams!
