Angel + Eric | Multi-Cultural Sikh Wedding and Reception

We had a great time shooting Angel and Eric’s multi-cultural wedding. Eric is American and Angel is Indian Sikh Punjabi. Eric and Angel met at work where their mutual friend played matchmaker and got them together. Eric proposed at a restaurant where they had their first date, aww isn’t that cute!  They had a traditional sikh wedding ceremony at the Gurdwara in Pittsburgh, CA. Eric wore Indian wedding clothes, sherwani, jhooti(shoes) and pagri(turban). Angel looked beautiful in her bright red lehenga.  Eric arrived with the Baraat at the wedding venue with dhol music and dancing where they had  the Sikh Anand Karaj wedding ceremony and exchange of garlands.

They got ready for their reception at the Hilton, Newark and we got some awesome portrait shots right before they went to the reception venue at Chandni Restaurant in Newark. Angel wore a beautiful fuchsia lehenga sari with stonework all over the sari and Eric wore his formal marine dress uniform.  We especially loved the cute little cake toppers that matched their reception clothes. Speeches, toasting and dancing ended the reception night for the happy couple. Scroll through to see some of our favorite images from their special day!
