The first event for Ashmi’s wedding was the Gaye Holud, also known as the Haldi ceremony. It is a fun part of Bengali weddings where the bride gets adorned with turmeric paste and friends and family gather with songs, dancing, and lots of food.

They played games, had some dance performances, and covered the bride in yellow paste and then she showered and we took more photos of her before the event was over.

We were so excited to capture this event because we had also captured her sister’s pre wedding functions as well! It was a lot of fun and we look forward to share her wedding in the next blog post!
