We are so excited to share this amazing Mehndi night from Bushra and Dawood’s wedding at Chandni in Newark, CA.

I love everything about this event! The couple chose to go to a local park to get photos done before going to the venue so we could capitalize on the good lighting, the beautiful nature, and get some photos in a natural setting since the rest of the event would be taking place in a ballroom.

We used a mist filter on our lenses to create this dreamy glow in the highlights. We know it has become a very trendy technique in 2025 so we did it for this event but we can either use these mist filters or not depending on the couple’s preferences.

At the venue guests arrive and enjoy mocktails and appetizers and then the event starts with family putting the Mehendi on the hands of the couple while they hold beetle leaves. This blesses the couple and is the start of the celebration. From there, the night is all about entertainment with dances, various performances, speeches, and a nice casual dinner.
