This was an amazing first event of four, for Catherine and Rohan’s fusion Chinese/Telugu wedding weekend!

The coming together of the two families to have this fun-filled day was a sight to behold! It was so wonderful that everyone was so involved and partook in this fun Hindu tradition!

The Haldi ceremony kicks off the wedding weekend and part of it included a prayer to the Gods to ask for good luck for the weekend and a happy marriage.

As customary in Telugu culture, the bride and groom were bathed in water after the Tumeric paste had been applied to them. This is the most fun part for us photographers because we get to capture so many happy expressions of friends and family as they soak the couple!

After they are completely wet, the couple goes to change and guests are invited to have food and socialize. We then pack up our gear and look forward to the next event which is their Sangeet!
