Chanel and Karan had a beautiful 5 day Sikh Punjabi wedding filled with fun and festivities. The wedding day started with her getting ready! Let’s take a minute to talk about her stunning dress with a trail, this has got to be our number one pick of one of the most stunning wedding lehengas we have ever come across. Her jewelry was absolutely stunning as well, reminiscent of Sabyasachi jewels that are hugely popular right now with luxury weddings.
Chanel looked statuesque with her tall 6 ft frame and absolutely gorgeous with flawless makeup by JulieAli Makeup, who flew all the way from the UK.
We got some of our signature shots with the backlit hairspray shot and artistic robe shots that we absolutely love, followed by her putting her jewelry on, dupatta and voila she looked like a statuesque Indian Princess ready to meet her prince! We used the stunning decor provided by R&REvent Rentals as a backdrop for many of her getting ready shots and we love how these turned out, we wish we had another hour to shoot her getting ready, we did not want to put the camera down.
We had a more than an hour drive to the gurudwara and had a lot of work ahead of us so we decide to continue the shoot at the beautiful San Jose Gurudwara. After few more portraits and detail shots of our stunning bride at the gurudwara, it was time to shoot the Baraat and welcoming of the groom, followed by Milni, meeting of the families and then the arrival of groom first, followed by the bride inside the temple for the Anand Karaj Ceremony. We shoot a mix of wide, closeup and medium shots of not only documenting the ceremony but also shooting a number of artistic shots in between.
After the ceremony, we got romantic couple portraits along with bridal party pictures. After lunch, we drove to the bride’s house first for doli ceremony, it is always s a bittersweet moment for the families and tears of joy from friends and relatives.
The night ended at the groom’s house with traditional games play and fun interactions between the newlyweds and the groom’s friends and family. Our last shot for the night was a romantic couple shot of this stunning couple!
