Fusion weddings are always unique and exciting to shoot. Devika and Krishna had one such fusion wedding. Devika is sikh punjabi and Krishna is Hindu, Tamil. They had the traditional sikh ceremony at the San Jose Gurdwara and the hindu ceremony at Krishna’s house. Krishna wore a traditional sherwani for the sikh ceremony and Devika wore a beautiful red lehenga. Devika’s, beautiful bridal makeup was by Leanka by Miriam. Krishna arrived on a white horse at the wedding venue with plenty of music and dance by friends and family at the Baraat. The Sikh Anand Karaj ceremony was performed at the Gurdwara. We had fun shooting the couple with the bridesmaids. The hindu ceremony was performed by Krishna’s dad in the backyard of their beautiful house. Devika changed outfits and wore a gorgeous burgundy and gold kanjeevaram sari for their hindu wedding ceremony. We got plenty of beautiful couple portrait shots in their backyard and also got some definite keepsake shots while the happy couple drove away in a classic old vintage automobile!
