The day before their wedding, Dimple and Drew held a Ganesh Pooja at their home followed by a Pithi ceremony.
Our good friend Panditji Nilesh Pandya officiated the Pooja and the wedding! He is the best Pandit in the Bay Area and knows all the various Hindu rituals for all parts of India. Since this was a Gujarati wedding and he is a Gujarati Priest, it was even more perfect!
Once the Ganesh Pooja is concluded and the couple has taken the blessings from God and from their family, they go outside for some fun, the Pithi ceremony!
The turmeric-colored paste brings a glow to the couple’s complexion but is also a fun ritual built for creating magical memories with beautiful photographs! It is one of the most fun events we get to shoot because all of the expressions are genuine and candid.
