When it comes to weddings from around the world, one of the best events to photograph is hands down, the Persian wedding! It is a beautiful mix of Arabic/Western traditions, fantastic food, and music which will get anyone dancing. Did I mention over ten types of cookies!
Farimah and Hossein held their ceremony and reception at the historic Bently Reserve in San Francisco. Next door there is a conveniently located hotel called La Meridien and that is where both the bride and groom got ready for their big day. The connected restaurant has a great area for portraits and that is where we also did their “first look”.
The wedding ceremony was traditional Persian with the Sofreh in front of them with all the elements important in Persian culture including, sugar, walnuts, a mirror, flowers, eggs, and a variety of other items that make the wedding site beautiful!
After the ceremony we did family photos and portraits with the bride and groom before heading to cocktail hour where we captured candids of guests and all the decor of the ballroom.
The reception included the bride and groom making their grand entrance with traditional Arabic dancers, a cake cutting, lots of great speeches, and many rounds of dancing throughout the events!
They had the most amazing fruit table and a dessert table to die for with more cookies than I have ever seen! We loved every single second of their events and hope you like scrolling through their beautiful images!
