Margarita + Lakshman | Filipino and Indian Fusion Intimate Wedding | Fremont

We photographed a lot of weddings during the coronavirus pandemic aka covid weddings this year!
Margarita and Lakshman had one such intimate fusion wedding. Margarita is Filipino and Lakshman is Indian fusion(Bengali and South Indian), their fusion wedding was an intimate family affair attended by parents, siblings, and their families.

Laksham is from the east coast and Margarita’s family lives in California. They had a church wedding in Fremont at the St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, Fremont., followed by a Hindu wedding in the backyard at an Airbnb in Fremont.

We got some quick natural light portrait shots of the couple before the church wedding. All-natural light photos during the ceremony and we got several off-camera flash photos after the ceremony during the family photo session and a mix of ofc and natural light photos for the portrait session. We try to capture a mix of candid and posed photos during our portrait sessions. We also love shooting silhouettes as you can see from several silhouette photos in this blog.

After the church ceremony, the couple changed into Indian clothes for their Hindu ceremony. The priest that was scheduled to conduct the Hindu ceremony could not make it due to covid so Lakshman’s mom and brother had to step in and conduct the Hindu ceremony and did such a fabulous job. Lakshman’s mom had tears of joy while watching her son and daughter in law do the Hindu rituals officiated by her.
