Kabu and Ankur had a beautiful Gujarati wedding at the Jain Temple in Milpitas. The temple structure is beautiful and the whole temple was built with all white marble. Not only does it look beautiful, it also has a serene, peaceful feel to it.
Kabu wore a beautiful crimson red lehenga with intricate zircon stone work all over the lehenga. Kundan studded jewelry for body and hair were perfect accessories to her lehenga. Ankur wore a tradition sherwani and matching Turban.
The Baraat was unique with Ankur riding on a decorated bicycle and Umbrella. Friends and family followed him with lots of dancing, singing and cheering.
The wedding ceremony included Ponkvu, welcoming the groom and his family members at the wedding venue. Ankur’s mother-in-law welcomed him with arati, washed the his feet, seeking his hand for her daughter. Next was the Jaimala ritual, which is essentially exchange of garlands between the bride and the groom. During the Mangalpheras, the couple walked around the holy fire seeking the blessings of Agni. The beautiful wedding ceremony ended with blessings from friends and family followed by lunch at Milan Indian Cuisine in Milpitas.
