We had so much fun photographing and filming Nina and Gautam’s wedding in Orange County! They had their wedding at the boutique hotel, Avenue of the Arts, which is a Wyndham property. It is modern, eclectic, has really cool decor, and purple is the company color!
I flew down there with my gear and jumped on the hotel’s courtsey shuttle and made my way to the hotel the day before the wedding. I had some time to kill so I hit up the mall and walked around. It was such an awesome place to check out and the weather was great! My local crew met up with me the next morning to start shooting the wedding which started around noon.
We captured the bride and groom getting ready and then had the couple do their first look. Once they had a touching moment alone we did all their family portraits and bridal party shots. The groom then went to his Baraat which lasted an entire city block before ending up at the Mandap.
The ceremony spot was perfect because it was right on the water. The guests had a great view of the ceremony and Nina was smiling non stop so it was super helpful when capturing all their special moments. Once the ceremony was over we had another photo session before they went to change and we had perfect golden hour lighting.
Nina and Gautam were so kind and genuine people. I am so happy they had us come from the Bay Area to Southern California to capture their special day. As a photographer is great to experience the world through a lens. I get to go to places I would have otherwise not gone, meet people I would have otherwise not met, and take amazing photographs that will be cherished by families for a lifetime and beyond.
