We photograph weddings at many Bay Area Marriott properties but one of our favorites is the San Mateo Marriott which is located very close to the San Francisco Airport. If you ride in the elevator they have some of our work on display and we are preferred vendors here!
The San Mateo Marriott has a built in gazebo in their courtyard which doubles as a Mandap for Indian weddings. With some draping and decor it can instantly be transformed into an elegant outdoor venue with indoor reception space just a few feet away. They have also done a great job with all their renovations and the space is very modern and elegant with Silicon Valley flair.
Sharanya and Munjal are really fun and chill people that we had so much fun working with for their wedding events! Both of them got ready for the big day in separate rooms in the morning and then walked downstairs to see each other for their “first look”. We did a number of family portraits before the ceremony so the couple could have more time to change after their Hindu wedding into their reception attire. Also the reason we take many of our family photos before the ceremony is because the bride’s hair and makeup can get messed up with all the throwing of rice, flowers, smoke in the eyes, etc. Myrium did Sharanya’s hair and makeup and did a fabulous job!
Sharanya and Munjal’s wedding was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The cocktail hour immediately followed the ceremony and guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while signing the couple’s guestbook. The reception included many heartfelt speeches by the couple’s friends and family, as well as some performances that were very fun!
