Aashima had her Mehndi done at her beautifully decorated home in Saratoga, right down the road from where we live. It was a gorgeous summer day and we had the pleasure of capturing all the magnificent design created by the talented Ravie Kattaura. She is by far one of the best Mehndi artists in the San Francisco Bay Area and we are so fortunate to work with her on a pretty regular basis.
The Mehndi signifies beauty and prepares the bride for the wedding festivities. It is also fun for family and guests to get their Mehndi done as well, 1-2 days prior to the wedding day. It is a casual affair and very relaxing for all. Amber Indian Cuisine provided the amazing food for all the events and we especially loved photographing the Mehndi themed cookies!
Once the Mehndi was complete we did a photoshoot with the bride and her family! It was the highlight of the day as Aashima and her sisters have gorgeous eyes and great smiles.
