Kayla and Patrick held three days worth of wedding festivities in November of 2015. The first event was Kayla’s Mehndi night in San Mateo, CA. Friends and family gathered in the backyard where they had a well-decorated tent keeping everyone warm and dry. The backyard also had a very lush and well-maintained garden with thousands of marigolds that Kayla’s grandparents had been growing specifically for the wedding day festivities. When I saw the garden, I just knew I would be getting some amazing shots there later in the evening once her Mehndi was complete.
Darcy from Henna Lounge did Kayla’s Mehndi and did an awesome job! I like the clean detail of the design and it was a ton of fun to photograph. The couple on Kayla’s hands really looks like them! Darcy is really great to work with and look forward to capturing more of her Mehndi designs at future events!
