Priya and Sahil had an amazing Hindu wedding at The Mountain Terrace in Woodside California this summer. It was a beautiful and sunny day and Prime Party Rentals did a wonderful job setting up their Mandap in the middle of this forest feeling venue. Denise from Royal Engagements just blew us away with her amazing coordination. Seriously this girl was so helpful and she was always available 100% of the day to make sure things go smoothly. I have not seen that level of attention in all my years as a wedding photographer!
Priya is the type of bride that likes subdued stuff. She is not overtly “Indian” so to speak, meaning she didn’t want the typical Indian wedding shots. She wanted a more vintage and artistic look and feel to her wedding so we had a ton of fun together!
While the groom was still doing Poojas and getting his vest full of money put on him, Priya was chilling with me at the venue getting a ton of killer shots before the guests arrived.
Once the ceremony started it was really hot and really sunny. Not the ideal conditions for a wedding ceremony but we got some great shots even with these two things working against us. After the ceremony, we had a fun photoshoot before we went back to Sahil’s house for the traditional welcoming of Priya into his family.
The final installment of this wedding will be the reception at San Jose Fairmont Hotel. You are not going to want to miss it so stay tuned!
