The Mehndi night is usually the first event of an Indian wedding that we photograph. The mehndi is usually applied at the bride’s home and close family and friends come to keep the bride company and also get mehndi on their hands as well. Often times the guys hang out separately and the women do their own thing. Roma’s Mehndi party was a lot of fun because all the guys, including Tapan hung out!
Roma’s mehndi included the Golden Gate bridge, which is an important part to her and Tapan’s love story. Ravie Kattaura did the design and she did a lovely job. Once her hands and feet were adorned with the beautiful mehndi we did a fun photoshoot right there in her living room. It was quite frigid and dark outside but inside worked perfectly because they had some nice decorations to use in the photos including hanging flowers, beads, and a colorful backdrop.
I love dogs so of course my favorites are of Roma with her pooch! Enjoy the images below!
