Ruchita and Amar chose India Community Center in Milpitas for their Gujarati wedding ceremony and reception. The new Malavalli Hall at ICC, is the largest and finest wedding location in Milpitas. The hall was decorated with a beautiful Mandap that had floral decoration with vibrant colors and diyas(lamps) and patlas(little chairs)for the morning ceremony. Ruchita wore a beautiful fuschia and green lehenga choli and Amar wore the traditional sherwani. The wedding ceremony included Varmala(exchange of garlands),Lagna(priest putting tika on their forehead and blessing the couple), Kanyadan(giving away the bride), Mangal Pheras(circle around the sacred fire), Saptapadi(seven steps around the sacred fire, a vow is taken with each step). We got some greats shots of their wedding ceremony!
Ruchita’s extraordinarily beautiful gold and maroon lehenga was the highlight of the beautiful reception. Ruchita and Amar danced the night away with blessings and love from family and friends!
