Ruhi and Samir had two fun-filled days of wedding events and this first one was the Haldi ceremony that took place during lunch time at Doubletree San Jose.

It was a super hot and bright sunny day, however, the Haldi set up was in the hotel restuarant that was super dark and the only illumination they had set up was the multi-colored backdrop lights.

We set up our flashes and video lights to ensure we got proper skin tones and light levels and took the couple outside where there was shade to get their photos done. We did all that in less than five minutes I would say.

The family applied Haldi to the couple and then family and friends showered them with flower petals and posed for photos. After which, everyone enjoyed lunch and then went to rest before that night’s Sangeet party.
