Right after the bride got her Mehndi done at home, the party headed to Mayuri Restaurant in Santa Clara where guests were invited for the Sangeet event. The venue is perfect for Sangeets since they have a banquet room on one-half of their space, and they make some great food to cater the party with including both South and North Indian cuisine.
Raman and Raveen, the couple behind R&R Event Rentals did a great job decorating the space. There were lots of colors and we love the parasols especially since they make great decor and props for portraits. Tejel Patel coordinated the event and Wicked Entertainment provided all the music and lighting for the evening.
Prior to the party getting started, we did a portrait session with the bride on the stage, as well as, family portraits. At an event like this, we always like to do these shots first so that they family and the bride can mingle with their guests rather than be in front of everyone posing for shots when they should be talking to their guests.
If we could make a doll that looks like Kriti we would. She is so darn cute and is so much fun to photograph! She can be sweet, animated, funny, and is just an all around fun gal!
Prior to the performances and Jaago, the groom arrived with his immediate family and we did portraits of them together. There was a nice program of dances, songs, and speeches and then a wonderful dinner.
We hope you enjoy viewing some of our favorite images from the night Stay tuned for more!
