Veena and Pritesh had an amazing traditional Gujarati wedding at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa. For three days they had all their events at this fabulous property! What we liked about this beautiful venue is that it is on a golf course so right outside the rooms there are lots of amazing photo opportunities. The next really cool part about it is that the ballrooms are their separate building, which means there is lots of privacy and you don’t have the general hotel guests walking around the hallways during your events.
Each day we had a different decor set up and in some cases a different room. It was a ton of fun and in this event below we have the Sataak. This is a very important ceremony in the Gujarati tradition because it is an opportunity to worship to Lord Ganesh and pray that the wedding goes smoothly and that the couple will have a prosperous and happy marriage. It is like a mini wedding ceremony in itself, for which we mean, there is a priest, the fire (Agni), and many guests to participate and be witness to the puja.
