Grah Shanti is a pre wedding ritual where pooja is performed to invite Lord Ganesha into the home to remove all obstacles and bring happiness and prosperity to the couple. The Navagrah(9 planets) pooja is also done to worship the 9 planets of the Vedic/Hindu Astrology.
Shaina wore a beautiful sea green lehenga for this ritual and we got some quick portraits of her before the pooja was performed.
After the pooja, was the Pithi ceremony, Shaina changed into a yellow punjabi suit with beautiful phulkari duppatta to match the turmeric paste that was going on her at the Pithi ceremony.
We love to get close up shots of the rituals when we are shooting Grah Shanti, the pithi ceremony shots are always fu and candid photography, with humorous expressions captured and for the family to enjoy and share a few laughs, when they look back at the photos to relive those moments.
