As wedding photographers we always say it is “an honor” to capture a couple’s special day. It is an entirely different type of honor when you capture three weddings, for three daughters, all in ONE family!
Back in the day when I was still pretty new to Indian weddings I was hired by Shikha’s oldest sister, Nidhi for her wedding at Casa Real. This was a great experience for us to show what we could do with photo and cinema for Indian weddings as we only had done a few at that point.
Two years later, Shikha’s other sister Nupur was getting married and called us for her wedding. This wedding was to take place in sunny San Diego and became our first “destination” wedding outside of the Bay Area. That was such a fun experience and great to see all their friends and family once again.
Fast forward a few more years and it is now Shikha’s turn! She is the youngest of the three and is such an amazing person. She has a warm heart, fun personality, and is really a very sweet person inside and out! Her groom is Neil. He is a Gujarati man with a gracious personality and is really mellow and easy going. Together they make the perfect couple and we are so blessed, honored, and happy to have captured this special day for them!
The wedding took place at the Santa Clara Marriott Hotel right across from Great America and Levi’s Stadium. This is a good venue for Indian weddings due to the ample parking, hotel rooms, large enclosed parking lot for Baraat, as well as, a separate room for cocktail hour. The ballroom is also large enough to have the dinner buffets inside of the room as opposed to in another room.
